EXPOSED; PRESIDENT MAHAMA LIED ABOUT THE TRUE STATE OF SOME OF THE PROJECTS

EXPOSED; PRESIDENT MAHAMA LIED ABOUT THE TRUE STATE OF SOME OF THE PROJECTS

Due to President Mahama's constant disrespect of the intelligence of Ghanaians through their constant deceit with lies anytime he gets the chance to present a speech, Critical Thinkers International has as a result taken upon ourselves to scrutinize/dissect any speech the President presents so that we can help present a true picture of issues to Ghanaians.

As a result of the above, we took our time to research on some of the projects(completed and ongoing) President Mahama made mention of during his State Of The Nation's Address Presentation to check if they were just as he claimed.

To achieve our target, we picked by random 22 of the projects he made mention of for our research.

Out of the 22 we picked, we found out that only five of them were not lies with the rest being contrary to his claim during the presentation.

The five which have been found to be true are;

1. Kumasi Airport Runway completion

2. The near completion of the Sofoline Interchange

3. The work in progress of the Circle Interchange

4. The installation of the Karpower Plant

5. A minimization of the Energy Crisis(Dumsor)

And the rest which were found to be false with respect to his claim are;

1. Madina Hospital - not completed

2. Kumawu Hospital - not completed

3. Bia College of Education - Non existent

4. NDC under President Mahama has built less than 50 of the Keta Sea Defense wall resettlement housing project yet he said they have built 600.

5. Tumu roads- Untarred

6. Clare roads - Untarred

7. Diglafouru road - Untarred

8. Sissli bamu-Tumu road - Untarred

9.  Dorma Ahenkro to Nkrankwanta - Untarred

10. Sefwi Wiawso to Akontombra road - Untarred

11. Tumu Gwollu road - Untarred

12. The Atebubu to Kwame Danso road which was awarded by Atta Mills to A.N Ghanem has been abandoned - not completed

13. Suhum to Asamankese to Kade road - not completed

14. Obuasi Anya road - not completed

15. The Metrikasa Ketu North to Weta to Afiadenyigba Agavedzi in the Keta district in Volta which was started by President Kuffour under NPP has not been touched ever since President Kuffour left office and as a result still remains untarred.

16. The Worawora-Dambai road project was awarded by the Kufuor administration and was completed long before John Mahama became President.

17. The Nkawkaw Bypass was completed long before President Mahama became President.

Critical Thinkers International will therefore be glad if President Mahama will cross check the true state of these projects and others not mentioned in this article again and after, present a more accurate state of them to Ghanaians.

Thank you.

Hhhmm, May God be Praised always

PRESIDENT MAHAMA/NDC GOVERNMENT HAS MADE GHANA A LAUGHING STOCK IN THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

PRESIDENT MAHAMA/NDC GOVERNMENT HAS MADE GHANA A LAUGHING STOCK IN THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

The Diaspora branch of Critical Thinkers International(CTI) are very much worried at the constant rate of the wreck of the image of Ghana by President Mahama and his NDC- led government through some of their very shameful, lame actions and inactions which has as a result brought constant humiliations onto Ghana and Ghanaians all over the globe.

Some of these actions and inactions by the government which has brought Ghana under constant international ridicule are as follows:-

1. The numerous errors in the official brochure for the colourful Independence Day ceremony which was graced by two African Heads of State went viral on Facebook, Twitter, local and other international social media platforms.
One of the mistakes was the description of Kenyan President , Uhuru Kenyatta, as the President of the Republic of Ghana.
In addition are the many factual, typographical and grammatical errors which have been widely shared on International Social Media platforms.

2. The high rate of corruption in Ghana under the watch of President Mahama which has earned Ghana the reward of being used as a case study in a class on corruption in the University of Pennsylvania.

3. President Mahama's outburst of his missing scripts during his presentation of a speech at the  47th Ordinary session of ECOWAS.

4. The General Secretary of the NDC party, Mr Aseidu Nketia intentionally putting on women's clothes during his official visit to Germany with President Mahama, which got the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) writing about it.

5. Ghana's drop from its middle income status to an IMF bailout programme

6. The yearly flood of Accra at the same place since 2013 which eventually ended up killing over a 100 people this last year, 2015 due to the constant negligence of this government to solve the problem despite its constant promise to solve it every year after it had occurred.

7. The airlift of the Black stars' $3 millions appearance fees to them in Brazil

8. The AMERI and the Metro Mass Transit (MMT) 116 buses Rebranding deal stinking with a huge corruption without considering the value for money, resulting to the resignation of the Transport Minister, Dzifa Attivor.

The above and many other examples have all brought great humiliations to Ghanaians all over the globe and as a result getting most of them being constantly mocked at by people of other nationalities at their neighbourhoods, work places, schools etc at the respective countries they find themselves in.
Also these actions and inactions have discouraged investors from coming into the country.

The Diaspora branch of Critical Thinkers International is therefore calling on President Mahama to urgently put a stop to these avoidable shameful occurrences in the future and also do things that will help bring glory to Ghana and through that help redeem Ghana's image.

If such and similar shameful and lame actions of the President and the NDC government continues, we will be left with nothing than to call on the President Mahama to step down to salvage Ghana's local and international reputation.

Thank you

May God be praised always

ExLA Group Gender Programme

PRESS RELEASE || ExLA Group Gender Programme
8th March, 2016

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2016.
“WOMEN’S STAKES IN LEADERSHIP AND DECISION MAKING; TOWARDS ATTAINING GENDER PARITY IN AFRICA”

Today marks a significant milestone in celebrating the successes chalked by vibrant women across the globe sequel to the Beijing Conference in 1995. Giant strides have been made after the Beijing Conference as women stakeholders across the world have championed women empowerment and gender parity at all levels of endeavour.

We at ExLA Group Gender Programme (EGGP) celebrate the enormous efforts and achievement of various stakeholders in the lead to attain gender equality by 2030 as spearheaded by UN Women, its affiliates agencies and other women lead groups, and initiatives of which the EGGP is no exception.

As we mark this remarkable day, we would like to take stalk of the journey so far with regards to women empowerment especially on the African continent. In the wake of the UN Women’s clarion call for “Planet 50:50”- Gender equity for all, We ask: WHAT HAS BEEN THE STAKE OF WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP AND DECISION MAKING ??. We want to remind ourselves of the huge task that lies ahead of us as a continent as we strive to attain the global target of equitable representation of men and women in equal proportion at all levels of human endeavor by year 2030.

We want to emphasize that, the call for gender equity and equitable representation is more eminent now than ever. The World Bank Population Data sheet (2015) records that, women make up about 49.76% of the world’s population. In the case of Africa, most countries have women outweighing men in numbers with an average of about 51%. It is sad to know that, this does not translate into a fair and appreciative levels in terms of women representation especially at the top hierarchy.

In the case of Ghana and several other African countries, women make up to 51.3% of our population but its appalling to note that representation of women in the Legislature is only about 11%, this reflects in women representation and roles in critical decision making at the Executive level. It should also be noted that women form only 3% in decision making, which makes the global target for a Planet 50:50 far from reach.

Notwithstanding, we appreciate and recommend for emulation by most African countries, especially the pace set by countries like Senegal, Rwanda, Liberia and Tanzania who are making conscious efforts to engage women in leadership, key decision and policies making platforms. For instance, Senegal’s “Gender Parity Law, 2010” which mandates all political parties to present 50% women for election in the legislative arm of government, has contributed in achieving 50% representation of women in parliament.

We recommend that such pragmatic steps should be replicated in other African countries to demonstrate our commitment to Planet 50:50 agenda by 2030.

We want to further reiterate that, in our bid to increase the tally of women representation at various levels of human engagement, we must be cautious not to put ‘square pegs in round holes’ as we at EGGP always advocate for most qualified and competent women to occupy top hierarchy positions. We do not dignify mediocrity and sycophancy depicted by some few women who have failed miserably when occupying very influential positions as records will have it.

We can attest to the fact that, qualified women when given serious leadership roles, deliver effectively and it is about time that they are given such opportunities to contribute their quota to the development of the country and the continent as a whole.
We join the world in wishing all women; A HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY. LET’S STAY FOCUSED!!!
